W. Bro. Dinesh Chintaman Kale
was born on August 10,1933 and was mining a engineer by profession. Residing at 10, Devrup Society, Turner Road, Bandra he was a joining member on January 16,1968. He was a master mason from Lodge Southern Cross No.24 GLI. A very keen mason he used to spend a lot of time away from Bombay, but made it a point to attend our lodge meetings. The offices he held were Almoner 71-72; Asst. Secretary 72-73; I.G. 73-74; J.D. 74-75; S.D, 75-76; Chaplin 76-77; J.W. 77-78 and S.W.in 78-79. He was installed in the Chair of King Solomon on November 20,1979 and was IPM the next year. Asst. D of C 83-84 and Asst. Secretary 84-85. A very likeable mason, the ritual working perfect and the interest of the lodge paramount.
Unfortunately, he developed a brain tumour and was called to the Grand Lodge Above on November 9, 1990, after an illness patiently borne.
Bro. Zoeb Gulamhusein Khatib
was 34 when he saw the light of freemasonry. A customs official by vocation, he was initiated on January 19,1968, passed on February 10,1968 and raised on July 15,1969. He was Organist in 71-72; Br. V.S.L.72-73; Asst. Secretary 73-74 and I.G. 74-75. He attends the meeting of the lodge very irregularly. He resigned soon after.
Bro. Shabbir Abdul Husein. A mechanical engineer (lewis to W. Bro. Zainulabedin) was initiated on July 16,1968, passed on September 17,1968 and raised on January 21,1969. A fine mason, well accomplished in all the facets of freemasonry he held a number of offices. Steward 71-72; Organist 72-73; Almoner 73-74; Br. V.S.L 74-75;
I.G. 75-76; S. D. 76-77; Chaplin 77-78; J.W. 78-79 and S.W. 79-80. He was installed in the Eastern Chair in the year 88- 81 and was IPM the next year. He was actively involved in business with the Middle East and he resigned on January 16,1983.
Bro. Fakhruddin Abdulhusein Arsiwala was my classmate in school. Born on September 18,1930 he resided at Maner Manor, Hill Road, Bandra and he was a glass merchant by profession. Initiated on August 20,1968. Passed on September 17,1968, and raised on July 15,1969 he was very acitive in the lodge till he became
S.W. Thereafter events in his family and the pressure of work prevented him from becoming regular. He still attends installation meetings. The offices he held were Steward 71-72; Swd. Br. 72-73; Organist 73-74; Almoner 74- 75; Asst. Secretary 75-76; J.D. 76-77; S.D. 77-78; Chaplin 78-79; J.W. 79-80 and S.W. 80-81 and 81-82. Married to Fatema on February 13,1960 he has a daughter Farzana and a son Fazlehusein. He spends a lot of time in Toronto, Canada.
He was called to the Grand Lodge Above on August 10,2001.
Bro. GUL TULSIDAS HINDUJA was initiated on April 18,1972. He resided at Khar and resigned on October 8,1977.
Bro. ISMAIL ABDUR RAHMAN CHOUDAHRY wa initiated on January 19,1972, passed on February 20,1973 and raised on March 20,1973. He was excluded on September 20,1988.
Bro.Dr. Mirza Hassan Kazerani was installed with grace and dignity by W.Bro.Dr. Noorodin Esufali Haveliwala in the distinguished presence of W.the Dy. RGM (WI), R.W.Bro. Albert Macmul. There were 12 visitors present and 79 brethren on the roll of the lodge at the beginning of the year. The address to the newly installed master was given by W.Bro.Dr. Homyar Dastoor and to the wardens by W.Bro. Dinubhai Labhshanker Bhatt.
Bro.Dr. Banerji, Bro. Shiraz Loyawala and Bro. Salehbhai Sabir were appointed on the Permenant Committee. Rule 7 of the byelaws with reference to the Fees was amended. W.Bro.Dr. Dastoor was felicitated for receiving the 40 years Long Term Service Jewel. Bro.Dr. Sudhakar Sane was made a 'Justice of Peace' by the Government of Maharashtra. A Ladies Nite was held at the Blue Nile on August 17,1972.

R. W. Bro. Albert Macmul, R. W. the Dy. RGM (WI) was summoned to the Grand Lodge Above in December 1971. Our honorary member M. W. Bro. Bhogilal Chimanlal Shah, M.W. the Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of India was summoned to the Grand Lodge Above on June 30,1972.
