I feel a bit awkward to write about myself but I feel I can do a better job than anyone else. My father was a freemason and worshipful master of our lodge during the English Constitution. I was born on March 13,1935 and studied at St. Xavier's High School and later at St. Xavier's College, in the B Group with the intention to study medicine. I joined Grant Medical College and did well for myself. After completing the mastership (M.S) in General Surgery, I married Sabira who is also a doctor. During my medical college days my mother was the Mayor of Bombay. The year following my marriage, Sabira and I left for England for further studies. I got the F.R.C.S. qualification and on my return to India obtained the Mastership (M.S) in Orthopadic Surgery. I have been a practicing Orthopaedic Surgeon for about 48 years and retired from active practice at the age of 68 years. I still do free and charitable work. Attached to the better hospitals of Bombay, I have a daughter Nisha who has completed her MBA and was in Washington DC, USA. Nisha married Bret in July 1999 and I am blessed with a grandson, Jordan, who is 10 years old. They returned from USA about 4 years ago and at present Nisha holds a very senior position with Accenture in Noida. I am a rotarian of several (36) years standing and have interesting hobbies.

President and Past President of several Medical Associations, I am also on several International and National Orthopaedic Associations. I have travelled widely, all over the world except Japan.

I reside at Shivtirth No.I, Bhulabhai Desai Road, Mumbai 400 026. I was initiated on April 18,1972 when W.Bro.Dr. Kazerani was master of the lodge. He offered my father the honour to initiate me. My father declined as he had already resigned and was not a active freemason. I was passed on August 14,1972 and raised on January 16,1973. My first office was Steward in 74-75 followed by Swd. Br. in 75-76 and 76-77; Br. V.S.L. 77-78; J.D. 78-79; S.D, 79-80; Chaplin 80-81; J.W. 81-82 and Master in 82-83. I continued as master for a second year in 83-84 and was IPM 84-85; D of C 85-86; Secretary 86-87; S.W. 87-88 and again D of C 88-89 to 91-92 and then Director of Masonic Studies of the lodge (1992-93). Over the years I have held several offices. I am thankful to my lodge brethren for all they have done for me especially in my hour of darkness when I lost 8 members of my family, including my uncle in a short span of 6 months. Subsequently I lost both my parents. I am keenly interested in freemasonry and am reasonable at the ritual working. I have made several good friends in the lodge. The ranks from the Grand Lodge and the RGLWI are P.A.G.M; P.Dy.R.G.M. I have also been very fortunate to have a long term of active offices with the RGLWI. I am a companion of Chapter Cornwallis No. 33 for many years now. I hold the rank of Past 2ed Regional Grand Principal. I am a Mark Master Mason with the Mark Lodge of Friendship and Harmony No. 19 and a companion of Dr. Kaikhushru Sahiar Conclave No. 137 and The Republic Conclave No 116. With Lodge Raza of Rampur No. 59, (AMD) The Grand Conclacve of the Order of the Secret Monitor, Supreme Council of XXXIII degree and the Ancient and Masonic Order of the Scarlet Cord. I have received 25 years Long Term Service Jewel from the Grand Lodge of India and the Supreme Grand Chapter of India.

I was fortunate to deliver the Funeral Lodge Oration in memory of W.Bro. Framroz Nadurshaw Shroff. Life has been good to me and I thank the GAOTU for favours received. It has been a wonderful experience when we have been together on several outings from the lodge to Lonavala, Manor, Wada, Poona, Bhopal, Delhi, the recent trip to Lodge Montford No.249, the Salem connction, Vadodra, Goa and Mahableshwar. I am the Past President of the Rotary Club of Bombay South. Recently I have been made a Trustee of the lodge. My interests are photography, travelling, astromomy. cricket, golf, swimming and social service in the field of orthopaedic surgery.

Bro. JAYANT NAGARDAS KHAMBATTA was initiated on April 20,1976, passed on July 20,1976. He resigned on Novembar 17,1981.

was initiated on April 20,1976, passed on July 20,1976 and raised on August 17,1976. He was Asst. Secretary and Almoner of the lodge before he resigned on July 21,1982.

Bro. RAMANBHAI MANILAL PATEL was initiated on April 20,1976, passed on July 20,1976 and raised on August 17,1976. He resigned on September 16,1980.

Bro. CHINOOBHAI DAHYALAL SHAH was initiated on January 20,1976, passed on April 20,1976 and raised on December 22,1976. He resigned from the lodge.

R.W. the Dy.RGM of RGLWI, R.W.Bro. Noshir Nowrojee Mehta and the deputation attended the elevation of Bro. Taher Mama by W.Bro. Vinod Nanavati performed with decorum and dignity. There were 6 visitors and 79 brethren on the roll of the lodge. The charity position was good. Bro.Dr. Banerji, Bro. Bagasrawala and Bro. Attari were elected to the Permanent Committee. W.Bro.Dr. Homyar Dastoor delivered the address to the newly installed master and W.Bro. Abdul Kaiyum Haveliwala to the wardens. V.W.Bro. Framrroz Shroff was nominated to the Board of General Purposes.
