Bro. Yusuf Kaderbhai Karachiwalla,
an industrialist, was initiated on April 21, 1981, passed on December 15, 1981, and raised on March 19, 1983. He has been Almoner in 87-88; Asst. Secretary 88-89 and 92-93; Chaplain 93-94; and J.W. 94-95. Married to Durraiya on October 26, 1969, he has 2 sons. An active brother, he has come with the brethren when they visited Lodge Montford No. 249 GLI earlier this year. His interests are social service and fellowship.
R.W.Bro. Dadi Engineer and the deputation from the RGLWI were invited to attend the installation of Bro. Sudhir Babulal Sheth.
This was most dignified and W.Bro.Dr. J.G.Mehta gave a demonstration as to how an installation should be performed. There were 51 brethren on the roll of the lodge.
R.W.Bro. Framroz Shroff delivered the address to the newly installed master and later to the wardens.
W.Bro.Dr. Atul Modi was nominated to the Board of General Purposes and Bro. Bootwala, Bro.Dr. Vyas and Bro. Lakdawalla were appointed to the Permanent Committee.
The financial position of the lodge was good and the lodge was considering a social service project in a rural village.
