The FIFTYFOURTH INSTALLATIOM MEETING of Lodge Reginald Spence No.109 GLI was held on November 18,1988 at Freemasons Hall, Bombay. The officers for the year were:

R.W. the RGM, R.W.Bro. Moshin Husseni Contractor and the deputation from the RGLWI were present at the installation of Bro. Suresh Babulal Sheth to the Eastern Chair by W.Bro.Dr. Jaswantlal Mehta. There were 47 brethren on the roll of the lodge. W.Bro.Dr. Atul Modi was nominated to the Board of General Purposes and Bro. Keith Clarkson and Bro. Raghu Reddy were appointed to the Permanent Committee. R.W.Bro. Framroz Shroff delivered the address to the newly installed master and W.Bro.Dr. Atul Modi to the wardens. The financial position of the lodge was secure. The remaining installed masters certificates were presented to W.Bro.Dr. Modi, R.W.Bro. Shroff, W.Bro.Dr. Mehta and W.Bro. Kishnani.

on February 21,1989.
R.W.Bro. Framroz Shroff was made an honorary member because of the services rendered to the lodge. W.Bro.Dinesh Kale was awarded 25 years Long Term Service Jewel by Lodge Southern Cross no.24, GLI on February 22,1989.
Bro. Raghu Lankan Reddy was a public relations officer, CEAT Ltd when he was initiated in the lodge. He was secretary of the Yatch Club, Bombay. Initiated on December 20,1983, passed on March 20,1984 and raised on April 17,1984 he held the office of I.G. 88-89 and 89-90. Whilst returning home after a lodge meeting he met with a car accident and had serious injuries. He was hospitalized in Breach Candy Hospital with many broken bones, 12 fractured ribs, a ruptured spleen and a haemothorax (blood in the chest cavity). Following major surgery he recovered completely and was amongst us as a regular brother of the lodge. Raghu was born on January 3,1931 and married Virbala on August 12,1959. He is fond of golf, clay pegion shooting, riding, polo and cricket. He has a son who is 24 years old. He resigned on April 18,1985.
The lodge has now entered an era when there was an influx of members from January 1990. Before continuing with the history I shall enumerate then in order of initiation.
W. Bro. Shabbir Kaderbhoy Ebrahim
was 45 years old when he was initiated on January 16,1990. Residing at Shanta Sadan, Ville Parle he was passed on February 20,1990 and raised on July 17,1990. Married to Bilkhis on January 3,1973 he has 2 sons Aliadnan and Hasnain. An accountant by profession, his interests are philately, old movies and music. He has been Asst. Treasurer 90-91; Treasurer 91-92 and 92-93; J.W. 93-94 and S.W. 94-95. and Master 95-96. He has the rank of P.G.Tyler with GLI and P.R.G.Marshal with RGLWI.
Bro. GULAM ZAHED JAFFRY
is an airconditioning expert and resides at 73, Bhulabhai Desai Road, opp. the American Consulate. Born on March 31,1937 he was initiated on March 20,1990, passed on May 12,1990 (EM) and raised on July 17,1990. Married to Taherah on December 18,1950 he has a son Jaffer and two daughters Nahid and Farah. He is fond of cooking and reading. He is not regular.
Bro. VIJAY BHAVANISH PALEKAR was born on January 18,1934. Initiated on April 18,1990, passed on May 12,1990 (EM ) and raised on August 21,1990 he has been Asst. Secretary 90-91; J.D. 92-93 and 93-94. He is not regular and one has not seen him in the lodge for many years.
Bro. Dr. BHALCHANDRA GURUKUMAR PARULEKAR, a urologist, was born on January 16,1958. Initiated on February 19,1991, passed on April 16,1991 and raised on May 7,1991 (EM). He was regular till several years ago. He had gone to the USA on a special assignment and later settled down in the USA. He resigned on December 23,1993.
Bro. AVINASHRAMCHANDRA RASAL was born on January 6,1950 is an advocate by profession. Initiated on March 19,1991, passed on April 16,1991 and raised on May 7,1991 (EM). He resigned from the lodge.
W. Bro. Mukund Vithal Bhatt
was Asst. Secretary of the Willingdon Sports Club and later secretary of the Cricket Club of India. Born on December 23,1928 he resides at 15 Sadguru Mansion, 444 Manmala Tank Road, Mahim, Bombay. Married to Vidula on May 1,1955 he has 2 sons Vivek and Ashok. His interests are collecting stamps. He accompanied the brethren to Yercaud. He has held several assignments in the lodge. Master in 2000-01 and IPM the next year and
has been Secretary from 1993 to 2008 when he stepped down because of ill health. He holds the rank of P.Pres.R.G.B of G.P.
Bro. ABBASALI SULTANALI GABULA, 36 years old, is in business with Sultanalis. He resides at Zenith Villa, 126-1 Veer Sawarkar Marg, Mahim, Bombay. Initiated on December 17,1991, passed on March 17,1992 and raised on September 29,1992 (EM). He stopped coming to the lodge and was excluded.
Bro. ABDULLAH MOMAHEDBHAI BISMILLAH was born on January 6,1935 and resides at Meenakshi Appts, Dockyard Road, Bombay 400 010. An advocate by profession he was initiated on December 17,1991, passed on March 17,1992 and raised on June 16,1992 (EM). He married Zubeda on June 1,1967, he has a daughter Shireen and a son Aliasgar. His interests are reading and music. He has stopped coming to the lodge.
Bro. BEHRAM RUSTOM RANA is a very talented brother. Born on December 19,1942 he resides at 69, Sonu Manor, Malcom Baug, Jogeshwari. Initiated on January 21,1992, passed on March 17,1992 and raised on June 16,1992 (EM). He was the Swd. Br. of the lodge. A skillful artist he has had many one man shows, the last one recently at the Taj Art Gallery. He married Zarine on May 19,1978, he has a son Rushad. His interests, besides painting are music and travelling. He was very irregular and he resigned on April 18,1995.
Bro. FAKHRUDDIN ABDEALI RONAK. Born on February 26,1943 and residing at Dawoodi Mansion, Dockyard Road, Bombay. Initiated on February 18,1992, passed on July 21,1992 and raised on Septmber 29,1992. Married to Dr. Khatija he has 2 daughters Rizwanah and Zehra. His interests are reading and indoor games. He is very irregular.
W. Bro. Rajendra Bhalchandra Chitre
58 years old. In service, he resides at 21, Sagar Darshan near Mazagaon Docks. Initiated on April 21,1992, passed on January 9,1993 and raised on February 16,1993 (EM). Married to Rajani he has 2 childern. His interests are reading and writing. He accompanied the brethren to Yercaud. He was master of the lodge on November 21,1999. He has helped the lodge do some projects with NABARD, though his interest in NABARD was against the interests of the lodge. He resigned fom the lodge.
Bro. SUNIL LAXMAN SHETYE was born on July 15,1952. An architect he was initiated on August 18,1992, passed on February 16,1993 and raised on April 20,1993. He resigned from the lodge.
Bro. ABID HASSANALI LAKHANI
was initiated on September 15,1992, passed on January 9,1993 (EM) and raised on February 16,1993. He resigned from the lodge.
Bro. Dr. DILIP DHIRAJLAL SHAH,
an orthopaedic surgeon, was born on August 17,1954. He resides at 62B Sudha Kalash, Jamnadas Mehta Marg, Bombay 6. Initiatd on January 19,1993, passed on February 16,1993 and raised on April 20,1993. Married to Harsha on May 6,1991. He has a daughter Nikita and a son Rahul. His interests are music, table tennis, photography and travelling. He resigned from the lodge.

was initiated on March 28,1993 (EM), passed on April 18,1993 and raised on May 16,1993 (EM). On Independence Day 1993 he marrid Nisreen and lost his freedom. He travelled to Yercaud with us inspite of the fact that one of his family members was scheduled for major cardiac surgery. This is not the time to inquire of his interests.

is a shipchandler by profession. Initiated on March 28,1993, passed on April 16,1993 and raised on May 16,1993 (EM). He resigned from the lodge.

R. W. Bro. Dr. Framroz Eruchshaw Antia is a dental surgeon by profession is attached to the Jaslok Hospital. A past master of Lodge Jennings No.103 GLI he joined on August 16,1994. He was Asst. D of C for several years and on one occasion was the S.D. and Br. V.S.L. He became the master on November 15,2007. He holds the rank of P.G.Chaplin.
