The EIGHTH INSTALLATION MEETING of Lodge Reginald Spence No.5514 EC was held at Freemasons Hall, Ravelline Street, Fort, Bombay 1 on November 17,1942. The office bearers were:

W. Bro. Dr. Marazban Merwanji Hakim was born on December 15,1907. He was a medical practitioner at Royal Terrace, opp Colaba Railway Station. He was initiated on December 20,1938, passed on January 17,1939 and raised on May 16,1939. He was a very jovial brother well versed with the masonic ritual. He was always a treat at the banquet table. He advanced in the lodge with consistant regularity. Asst. D of C; I.G; J.D; S.D; S.D. for another year,  Chaplin; J.W; S.W. and he was installed in the Chair of King Solomon on November 17,1949. IPM the following year, he was Steward of the lodge in the year 1958-59. He was called to the Grand Lodge Above on September 6,1970.

Bro. Minocher Shapurji Banker. Born on August 15,1909 he was a sub accountant and resided at Sea View, Hornby Vellard, Worli, Bombay. He was a joining member of from Lodge St. Mary No.3331 EC ( Calcutta ) and became a member of Lodge Reginald Spence No.5514 EC on October 17,1939. He was the first Asst. Secretary and then Organist of the lodge before he resigned on June 15,1954.

There is a record of several brethren joining the roll of the lodge for a very short time.

Bro. ABDUL AZIZ HELMY joined the lodge when he was 42 years old. He was an inspector with the Persian Gulf Ports Agencies, Bombay. His address was c/o M.A. Kazerani, Jairaj House No.2, Colaba. He was initiated on February 14,1939, passed on February 18,1941 and raised on March 18,1941. He resigned from the lodge on December 31,1951.

Bro. Dr. KIRTILAL MANSUKHLAL BHANSALI was a physician at the G. T. Hospital and Sir Hurkissondas Nurromtumdas Hospital. He lived at Printemps, 3rd. floor, 26A Ridge Road, Bombay. He was initiated on April 15,1941, passed on May 20,1942 and raised on July 15,1941. He resigned from the lodge on December 20,1941.

Bro. KANTILAL JAGJIVANADS SHAH was born in 1901. He was a share broker and resided at Prabhat, Andrews Road, Santacruz, Bombay. Initiated on July 15,1941, he was passed on September 16,1942 and raised on October 17,1941. He resigned on December 16,1941.

Bro. JAWAHARLAL PANJABI, a mill salesman, was residing at York House, Henry Road, Apollo Reclamation, Bombay. He was initiated on July 15,1941, passed on August 19,1941 and raised at an emergency meeting on September 29,1941. He resigned from the lodge on June 16,1953.

Bro. TRIKAMLAL MANEKLAL was associated with textiles, dyes and chemicals and was the owner of T. Maneklal & Co., at Examiners Press Building, Dalal Street, Fort, Bombay. He was initiated on July 29,1941, passed on September 15,1941 and raised on June 30,1943 all three degrees at emergency meetings. He resigned on May 5,1947.

Bro. RAMCHANDRA BALWANT CHANDWANKER was in the dyes and chemicals business and resided at 14th Road, Khar, Bombay. Initiated on July 29,1941 (EM), passed on September 15,1941 and raised on September 20,1942 He was called to the Grand Lodge Above on December 13,1956 whilst he was at Hoechst, near Frankfurt, Germany.

Bro. FRASR BAPUJI MUSA was born on August 4,1906. He resided at 77, Guzdar Mansions, Princess Street, Bombay 2. He was a joining member from Lodge Dawn of Peace No.5260 EC on December 16,1941. He resigned on December 1,1944.

Bro. DINSHAW SHAPURJI was born on October 26,1904. He was the proprietor of a dyeing and bleaching mill and a salt manufacturer. Residing at Navroze Building, Hughes Road, Bombay. He was initiated on December 26,1941. Passed on February 17,1942 at an emergency meeting, he was raised on October 20,1942. He was called to the Grand Above in November 1975.

Bro. KUMUDCHANDRA MATHURADAS PARIKH was a director Alliance Stores Trading Co. Ltd at Baroda and resided at Krishna Nivas, 58 Walkeshwar Road, Bombay. He was initiated on December 16,1941, passed on July 21,1942 and raised on October 20,1942. He resigned from the lodge on January 15,1982.

Bro. MADHUBHAI MANILAL PATEL was initiated on February 17,1942 and passed on May 19,1942. He was excluded on October 18,1955.

Bro. JAYCHANDRA TARACHAND SHETH, a merchant, was born on August 16,1914. He was initiated on February 17,1942, passed on January 18,1943 and raised on June 30,1943 (EM). He was excluded from the lodge on January 15,1957.

Bro. SULTAN VALIMOMAHED SONAWALA, born on March 25,1919 was a bullion merchant residing at Pratap Mansion, Laburnum Road, Bombay 7. He was initiated on March 17,1942, passed on April 21,1942 and raised at an emergency meeting on May 29,1942. He resigned from the lodge on December 20,1949.
