The TWENTYNINTH INSTALLATION MEETING of Lodge Reginald Spence No.109 GLI was held at Freemasons Hall on November 19,1963. The officers were:

Bro. BIPINCHANDRA ISHWARLAL PATEL was initiated on February 18,1964, passed on July 21,1964 and raised on January 21,1969. He resigned on November 19,1974.

The year saw Bro. Jhabwala being elevated to the Eastern Chair by W.Bro. Moshin Doctor. R.W.Bro. Pestonji Phirozshah Kapadia and the deputation from the Regional Grand Lodge of Western India were invited. 14 visitors attended the meeting. There were 62 brethren on the roll of the lodge. All fund of the lodge were in good order. The charge to the newly installed master was given by W.Bro. Bhaidas Shroff, Bro. Gangriwalla and Bro. J.D. Mistry were elected to the Permanent Committee and Bros. N.J.P. Shroff, Zainulabedin and Fozdar were elected to help them.

Invitation was received from W.Masters of Lodge Ghorakpur No.157 GLI on the occasion of its consecration and Lodge Williams No.158 GLI on the occasion of its consecration and Lodge Trivandrum No.168 GLI on the occasion of its consecrtion.

W.Bro. Amiruddin Haveliwala delivered lecture on “ Freemason, whither are you directing your course” on January 21, 1964.

In the meeting dated April 24,1964 the Masonic Silver Jubilee of W.Bro. Framroz Nadurshaw Shroff, W.Bro.Prof. Dara Mervanji Munshi, W.Bro.Dr. Burjor Edulji Daruvala and W.Bro.Dr. Marazban Merwanj Hakim

was celebrated. 14 visitors attended the meeting. R.W.The Regional Grand Master and his deputation were present on this occasion.

W.Bro. Dinubhai Labhshanker Bhatt was nominated to the Board of General Purposes. Bro. Tayeb Abdeali Attari was puton the absent list following his request on October 18,1964.

Initiation: Mr. Bipinchandra Ishwarlal Patel and Mr. Suber Taherbhai Attari both proposed by Bro. Taher Mama and seconded by W.Bro. A.K.E. Haveliwala were initiated on February 18,1964. Mr. Vinodkumar Nanavati proposed by Bro. Bagasrawala and seconded by Bro. Zainulabedin was initiated on March 17,1964.

Passing: Bro. Patel and Bro. Attari were passed on July 27,1964 and Bro. Nanavati on August 18,1964. Raising: Bro. Taher Mama was raised on December 17,1963.

Resignation: Bro. J.M. Lokhandwala and Bro.Dr. B.E. Daruvala on September 26,1963 and July 27,1964 respectively.
