The ELEVENTH INSTALLATION MEETING of Lodge Reginald Spence No.5514 EC was held on November 20,1945. The officers for the year were:

Bro. Girdharlal Karsondas Fozdar was born on November 3,1897. He was a share broker by profession, residing at Anand Bhuvan, Vithaldas Patel Road, Bombay. Initiated on April 15,1941, passed on May 29,1941 and raised on July 15,1941 he was a very active mason and the offices he held in the lodge were Asst. Secretary 1944-45; Almoner 1945-46; Asst. D of C 1946-47; J.D. 1947-48; Asst. Secretary 1948-49; Secretary 1949-50; Chaplin 1950-51 and 1951-52; J.W. 1952-53 and S.W. in 1953-54. He was installed in the Eastern Chair on November 16,1954 and was the IPM the following year. He had an individual charity fund account to his name in the lodge. He was called to the Grand Lodge Above on January 31,1963.

W. Bro. Pramukhlal Manilal Patel residing at Block 7A, Soonawala Building No.1, Tardeo, Bombay, was initiated on May 20,1941. Passed to the degree of fellowcraft freemason on July 29,1941 and raised on October 17,1941. He was Organist of the lodge and assumed office on November 20,1945. Almoner in 1946-47; I.G. in 1947- 48; S.D. in 1948-49; Asst. Secretary in 1950-51; Secretary in 1951-52; Chaplin in 1952-53; J.W. in 1953-54 and S.W.in 1954-55. He was elevated to the Eastern Chair on November 12,1955 and was the IPM the following year. He was put on the absent list on April 21,1967. He was called to the Grand Lodge Above on October13,1962.

Bro. Dinshaw Jehangirji Bejonji Mistry was born on August 28,1915 and was a merchant by profession. He resided at 254 Bazar Gate Street, Fort, Bombay. Initiated on September 19,1944, passed on January 16,1945 and raised on May 17,1945. He was the Steward of the lodge from the year 1945 to the end of the Masonic year 1948. Asst. D of C in 1949-50; I.G. in 1950-51 and J.D. in 1951-52. He was the Secretary for the following 2 years and assumed the office of Chaplin on November 12,1955. He was J.W. the following year. He resigned from the lodge on February 19,1957.

There was a period in Lodge Reginald Spence No.5514 EC when the many brethren, together, made the lodge one of the most respected and desired lodges in the district. At this time however, 26 brethren decided to either resign or were excluded or were called to the Grand Lodge Above.

Bro. MANEK SHAPURJI KOTWAL was initiated on December 15,1942 and raised on May 31,1943 at an emergency meeting.

Bro. FRAM NUSSEWWANJI CAWASJI BULSARA was initiated on February 16,1943, passed on March 30,1943 (EM) and raised on May 31,1943 (EM). He resigned on May 22,1946.

Bro. CHHOTABHAI BHAILALBHAI VYAS was born on July 31,1901. He was a merchant by profession and lived at Mody Chambers, French Bridge, Bombay. He was a member of Lodge Tyrrell Leith No.2162 EC (Baroda) and joined Lodge Reginald Spence No.5514 EC on February 16,1943. He was called to the Grand Lodge Above in October 1965.

Bro. BOMAN SHAPURJI MANEKJI KOTWAL was initiated on February 16,1943 at the age of 29 years. Passed on March 30,1943 and raised on September 29,1943 both degrees at emergency meetings. He resigned soon after.

Bro. RAMNATH ANANDILAL PODAR was one of the very well known industrialists of Bombay, residing at Podar Mansion, Marine Drive, Bombay. He was initiated on March 16,1943, passed on June 15,1943 and raised on September 29,1943. He resigned on August 18,1953.

Bro. TRAMBAKRAI NAVINDHRAI MUNSHI was secretary to the firm of Kilachand Devchand & Co, and resided at Purshottam Building,Opera Hpuse. A member of Lodge Anglo Colonial No.3175 EC (London) and Lodge Aryan No.1709 EC. He joined Lodge Reginald Spence No.5514 EC March 16,1943 and assumed the office of Asst. D of C on December 21,1948. I.G. the following year and J.D. the year after. He resigned from the lodge on January 31,1952.

Bro. BHAGUBHAI MAFATLAL was born on March 16,1909 and resided at Mafatlal House, Altamount Road, Bombay. He was initiated on April 20,1943, passed on August 30,1943 and raised on April 20,1944. He was called to the Grand Lodge Above on September 30,1944.

Bro. MOHANLAL LALLUBHAI SHAH, bar-at-law, residing at Sneh Sadan, Churchgate Reclamation was initiated on April 20,1943, passed (date not known) and raised on June 20,1944. He resigned on February 21,1950.

Bro. KAUSHIKPRASAD CHANDULAL MAHADEVIA was initiated on May 18,1943, passed on June 15,1943 and raised on June 19,1945. He resigned on March 19,1957.

Bro. RAMDAS PURSHOTTUMDAS ASHER was initiated on May 18,1943 and raised on September 19,1944. He resigned on August 31,1949.

Bro. ZEINULABEDIN ABDULHUSEIN HARIANAWALLA was born on December 31,1911. He was a joining member from Lodge Islam No.587 SC and joined on June 15,1943. He was Almoner of the lodge for one year and he resigned on January 31,1952.

Bro. MANILAL HARGOVINDAS PATEL born on October 18,1900 was initiated on June 15,1943, passed on July 20,1943 and raised on June 20,1944. He was called to the Grand Lodge Above in the early part of 1962.

Bro. NATHUBHAI RATANJI DESAI, a hardware merchant, residing at Anand Vilas, Dr. Wilson Street, Bombay 4 was a joining member from Lodge Cyrus No.1359 EC and joined the lodge on July 20,1943. He resigned on September 15,1953.

Bro. PARVATISHANKAR MOOGATLAL BHATT, residing opp Kohinoor Mills, Dadar, Bombay was initiated on July 20,1943 and passed on October 21,1947. He resigned on January 16,1951.

Bro. NANUBHAI MADHAVDAS DARU, a solicitor, resided at Jamnadas Mansion. Sandhurst Road, Bombay 4. He was a joining member on August 30,1943 from Lodge Aryan No.1709 EC. He resigned from the lodge on February 2,1950.

Bro. BHALCHANDRA DALPATRAM JOKHAKAR joined Lodge Reginald Spence No.5514 EC on August 30,1943. He was a master mason from Lodge Aryan No.1709 EC and Lodge Friendship and Harmony No.1270 EC. He resigned from the lodge on December 16,1947.

Bro. MOHAMED MANALUDDIN QORESHI resided at 5, Shepherd Road, Byculla, Bombay and was a member of Lodge Cyrus No.1359 EC. He was initiated on August 30,1943, passed on February 15,1944. He resigned from the lodge on July 9,1947.

Bro. Dr. JAMNADAS JUGMOHANDAS MERCHANT was born on January 30,1901. Residing at Topiwala Mansion, Sandhurst Road, Bombay 4, he was initiated on August 30,1943, passed on March 29,1944 and raised on July 18,1944. His two sons, both doctors, one a dental surgeon and the other one an anaesthetist are distinguished in their fields. He resigned on February 21.1950.

Bro. NANJI VALABHDAS DOSSA residing at 30, Pedder Road, Bombay 6, was a joining member on September 21,1943. He was also a member of Lodge Cyrus No.1359 EC. He was called to the Grand Lodge Above on February 4,1950.

Bro. AMIDAS JIVRAJ SHETH was initiated on September 21,1943. He resigned on April 20,1946.

Bro. VITHAL DATTARAM DESAI residing at Shivaji Park, Dadar was initiated on October 19,1943 and passed on March 18,1947. He resigned from the lodge on December 31,1951.

Bro. VASANT RAJARAN VALAWALKAR was initiated on October19,1943, passed on March 29,1944 and raised on September 19,1944. He was Organist of the lodge for one year. He resigned on June 5,1951.

Bro. DOULATRAM HASSANAND RAJPAL, advocate, residing at Balaram Chambers, behind Metro Cinema was initiated on January 18,1944. Passed on June 20,1944 and raised on June 6,1945. He resigned from the lodge on September 17,1963.

Bro. RAHIM KARIM PEERMOHAMED. Landlord of Manekia Chambers, Dhobi Talao, he was a joining member on August 15,1944. He was also a member of Lodge Islam No.587 SC and Lodge Bombay No.648 IC. He resigned from the lodge on October 16,1956.

Bro. KASSIMALI FAZULBHAI CURRIMBHAI, a merchant by profession, was born on September 8,1907. He resided at Rodrigues Bungalow. Edulji Street, Chanai, Thana. A member of Lodge Barton No. 475 SC (lonavala), he joined Lodge Reginald Spence No.5514 EC on August 15,1944. He was excluded on October 18,1955.

Bro. VITHALDAS PURSHOTAMDAS BHUTA was a joining member from Lodge Mother India No.1388 SC. He was Almoner; Asst. D of C and I.G.of the lodge. He resigned on March 16,1954.

Bro. NAGINDAS GORDHANDAS SHAH was initiated on August 14,1944, passed on December 19,1944 and raised on March 20,1945. He was a mill owner residing at Damodar Mansion, Girgaum, Bombay. He resigned from the lodge on March 31,1961. He was called to the Grand Lodge Above on December 24,1965.
