The SEVENTEENTH INSTALLATION MEETING of Lodge Reginald Spence No.5514 EC was held at Freemasons Hall Ravilline Street, Bombay on November 20,1951 when the officers for the year were:

Two notable brothers in life were always very keen to be one up on the other. They were in our lodge at the same time and both of them were very devoted masons. Very proficient in ritual working, both of them read masonic papers in the open lodge. Most senior masons remember them very well as they were members taking an active role in the well governing of the lodge.
W. Bro. Abdul Kaiyum Esufali Haveliwala was born on February 10,1913. He was a merchant residing at Mirza Street, Bombay 2. He was initiated on June 16,1942, passed on August 18,1942 and raised on February 16,1943.
His first office was that of Steward of the lodge in the year 1950-51. He followed this up with Almoner 1951- 52; I.G. 1952-53; J.D. 1953-54; S.D. 1954-55; Asst. Secretary 1955-56; Chaplin 1957-57 till April 15,1957 and J.W. for the rest of the year. He was S.W.for the year 1958-59. He was installed in the Chair of King Solomon on November 15,1960, as the previous year was the silver jubilee of the lodge and W.Bro J.P.C. Shroff was installed master of the lodge for the second time. IPM the year 1961-62. He was Asst. D of C of the lodge from November 17,1964 for the years 1965-66, 1967-68, 1968-69, 1970-71, 1972-73, 1975-76, 1979-80 and 1980-81. There was a considerable of confusion when both the brethren held ranks.
On July 15,1958, Bro.Haveliwala addressed the brethren on 'Discipline in Freemasonry'. Over the years the ranks given to W.Bro. Haveliwala were P.R.G.D. in 1962-63; P.R.G.Std.Br; in 1963-64; P.G.Steward in 1973-74; P.R.G.Reg. in 1974-75; P.G.I.G. in 1975-76; P.S.R.G.W. in 1979-80 and P.G.Std.Br. in 1980-81. W. Bro. Abdul Kaiyum Esufali Haveliwala P.M; P.G.Std. Br; P.S.R.G.W. was called to the Grand Lodge Above on March 19,1986.
W. Bro. Amiruddin Esufali Haveliwala was born on October 3,1904 and was also a paper merchant like his brother. He resided at Zainab House, 34-36 Mirza Street, Bombay. Bro. Amiruddin, joined the lodge on December 15,1942. He was also a member of Lodge Bhoreghaut No.3465 EC where he was I.G. and Lodge Hamilton No.584 SC. The offices he held in Lodge Reginald Spence No.5514 EC were Steward in November 20,1951; Almoner in 1952-53; I.G. in 1953-54; J.D. in 1954-55; S.D. in 1955-56; Asst. Secretary in 1956-57; Chaplin in 1957-58, J.W. in 1958-59 and S.W. in 1960-61. Bro. Haveliwala was placed in the Eastern Chair on November 17,1961 and the next year he was IPM.
Bro. Haveliwala addressed the lodge on 'What should be Death to a freemason' on April 21,1964; 'Masonic Prayer' on January 18,1977 and 'Etiquette in Freemasonry' on April 19,1977. He also addressed the lodge on 'Freemason, whither are you directing your course ?' The ranks he received were P.R.G.Deacon; P.R.G.D of C and P.G.Std.Br. He was the only ruling master of the lodge in both the constitutions. He was called to the Grand Lodge Above on January 22,1983.
Bro. BHALCHANDRA BHOGILAL JHAVERI, a jeweler, was initiated on January 15,1952, was passed on April\15,1952 and raised on May 20,1952. He was steward for two years, and Organist and Almoner each office for a year. He resigned on January 21,1958.
